At the base station...

Back down in the valley the "pleasures to follow“ are boundless. 
 
For those who are interested in technology, there is a show room. There you can obtain an insight into the dimensions of the railway. You can see directly into the engine room and can follow what is happening when the train is in operation by means of display tables. 

Around the base station there several nearby walking paths and the generous park with children’s play area and trampoline. Off we go! Our adventure playground is waiting for you. Since 2006 there is a new water playground. Here you can splash, dam up or just play with water.

 
The Alpine Restaurant, with its sun terrace and a magnificent view over the gigantic Zugspitze mountain, invites the whole family to enjoy its cuisine. You can allow yourself to be pampered with local and international specialities, as well as coffee and home-made cakes. The “Zirbenstube” also offers seating in the evening for guests who would like to be pampered "à la carte".
